Lincoln man shot dead at his bachelor party in Glassport Pittsburgh Tribune-Review
A Lincoln man celebrating at his bachelor party was shot and killed early Sunday, less than a week before his wedding day.
James Hoover, 36, was pronounced dead shortly after 3 a.m. outside the Sons of Italy social club in Glassport, Allegheny County Police said.
His brother Joseph Hoover was shot and was taken to an undisclosed hospital.
County police arrested Garrett Raymond Sainiak, 27, originally of Glassport, in connection with the shootings. Sainiak has a criminal history, including charges for assault, firearms violations and burglary, according to court records. He was being held without bail in the county jail on charges of homicide and aggravated assault, police said.
James Hoover was to get married next weekend to his girlfriend of 11 years, Angela Mingo, 34, of Lincoln. The couple had two children together, a son, 10, and daughter, 7. Hoover had custody of two other sons, ages 13 and 16, from a previous marriage.
Mingo said her fiance was hardworking and always put his family first.
